One of the oldest and most prestigious neighbourhoods in all of Edmonton, Glenora is centrally located and offers residents the perfect blend between downtown accessibility and green space. The boundaries of this community run between 107th avenue (north) and 142 street (west) while also bordering the Groat Ravine. Glenora has long been a neighbourhood that has attracted home buyers in search of large, spacious properties that are also classically designed - many of which are older builds that were constructed after WWII but before 1960.

The price of a home in this area can range between $400,000 and $3,000,000 - a testament to the extremely diverse nature of Glenora. A property that is located closer to the Groat ravine boundaries typically fetches a higher price, as the views are spectacular while the increased square footage south of Stony Plain Road in an area typically called "Old" Glenora also increases demand. Almost 75% of Glenora real estate consists of single family detached homes, with the Crescent Place condominiums off of 142nd street and 102 avenue being the only notable exception. Crescent Place contains almost 280 units and makes up the majority of the 18.5% highrise apartment buildings located in the neighbourhood.

Most of the homes in Glenora are occupied by the owners themselves due to the extremely high cost of living - fewer than 20% of the dwellings in this neighbourhood are occupied by renters. As such, there typically aren't a lot of post-secondary students or recent post-secondary graduates who can make living in Glenora work on a limited budget. However, there are still certainly a lot of fantastic school options for children attending K-12, including Ross Sheppard, Archbishop MacDonald, Westminster Junior High, Glenora Elementary, and St. Vincent Catholic Elementary.

While Glenora is certainly one of the quieter areas in Edmonton, it also is close enough to the downtown core that residents get the best of both worlds. Jasper Avenue, High Street, and Rogers Place are all just minutes away while the new shopping area in Oliver Square is also nearby. Additionally, Glenora has 15 different points of access to major roads while the 17 bus stops provides those who commute using public transportation plenty of options. Finally, there are 14 different parks in Glenora that connect to biking and hiking trails throughout the entire river valley - Groat Ravine, MacKinnon Ravine, and Ramsay Ravine, just to name a few.
